Footwear Size Guide

At Trendy Step, fit confidence matters. Use this guide to find your perfect size — whether you're shopping in EU, US, or UK sizing — and get expert tips on measuring your feet for the most accurate fit.

How to Measure Your Foot

  1. Gather your tools: A sheet of paper (larger than your foot), a pen, and a ruler or tape measure.
  2. Trace your foot: Place the paper on a hard floor. Stand on it with your full weight and trace around your foot, keeping the pen upright.
  3. Measure the length: Measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe (usually the big toe). This is your foot length in centimetres.
  4. Measure the width: Measure across the widest part of your foot (across the ball). Note this for width guidance below.
  5. Measure both feet: Feet differ slightly — always size to the larger foot.
  6. Measure in the evening: Feet swell throughout the day; evening measurements give the most accurate result.

Fit Notes by Style

True-to-Size Styles

Our core leather sneakers, derby shoes, and loafers are crafted on a standard last and fit true to your EU size. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit.

Snug-Fitting Styles (Size Up Recommended)

Certain minimalist silhouettes — particularly those with narrow toe boxes — run slightly narrow. If you have a wider forefoot, we recommend going half a size up or referring to the width guidance below.

Wide-Last Styles

Select styles in our collection feature a wide last for broader feet. These are labelled Wide Fit on the product page. If your foot width (across the ball) exceeds 10 cm for women or 10.5 cm for men, a wide-last style may provide a better fit.

Boots & High-Tops

For boots, we recommend wearing the socks you intend to pair with the shoe when measuring. Add 0.5–1 cm to your measured foot length for a comfortable fit with thicker socks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I'm between sizes?

We recommend sizing up. Our leather uppers will mould to your foot over time, and a slightly roomier fit is more comfortable than one that is too tight.

Do your shoes stretch?

Full-grain leather styles will soften and conform to the shape of your foot after a short break-in period of 3–5 wears. Suede and textile styles have minimal stretch.

I wear EU 39 in some brands and EU 40 in others. What should I do?

Sizing varies between manufacturers. Always use your measured foot length (in cm) as your primary reference, and compare it against our conversion table above for the most reliable fit.

Can I return or exchange for a different size?

Yes — please see our Returns & Exchanges Policy for full details.
